Thanks for the wonderful response to our activism course! I spoke with some of our new members this week and am excited with the talents they are bringing to the table. We recently developed a private room in the forums giving our members a chance to chat and receive instructions. We just launched our MICRO DONATIONS TO FEED THE PRISONERS page on the site. This page features a husband and wife who are in jail for growing marijuana. She is a Registered Nurse and he has more degrees than Fahrenheit and both are non-violent good American citizens. The goal of this new page is to raise money to send to their jail account so they have better toiletries, underwear, blankets and food. These two prisoners are among the 1.5 million non-violent drug offenders we have locked up in America. If we emptied our federal prisons of non-violent drug offenders, we would release 55% of the prison population leaving room for the real criminals. (And some Americans have been trained to be scared of these individuals. I’m more scared of who made them a criminal and placed them in a cage!) Our country’s incarceration rate is higher than any country in the world with 1 in 100 Americans behind bars and 1 in 9 black American males behind bars. Our own citizens are locking each other up at an alarming rate. If any person thinks our country is free, there are 1.5 million citizens and their families who can prove it is not.
When you donate, half the money will go to the prisoners and the other half will go to the NeverGetBusted movement so 100% of your money will be used properly. We will post the prisoner’s letters of thanks as we receive them. We anticipate more money being donated than needed for two prisoners so this letter is a cry to America! We want to add many prisoners to the new page and send money to as many as we can. Jail is not a country club like I was taught as a child. I often heard this comment growing up, “They’ve got colored TVs and pool tables. Hell, they have it better than us.” This is a lie!!! Jail is the most depressing place a person can be. It smells like urine and feces, the noises heard are horrible, the food is inadequate and our prisoners must constantly be on guard for their safety. We have our cast of detectives and specialists put together for the upcoming reality show, CopBusters. We are going to travel across America busting corrupt cops and air it on television. The deeper message of the episodes will be: Americans like the idea of a police force and understand we need police to protect us and our children from violent criminals but our current criminal justice system is causing more harm on Americans than it benefits. Americans are tired of hearing “but there are some good cops.” We believe if the ”good cops” are out there, then why don’t they stand up against the corrupt cops found in EVERY JURISDICTION? I think this common phrase has been repeated so much, it is used in most conversations regarding bad cops to show we are not “cop haters.” It is ok to hate cops!!! It is ok to hate any person who will separate you from society by locking you in a cage for a non-violent crime. Our fathers hated the British cops so bad, they created their own nation!!! Remember your hate for the cops is not your fault. It’s theirs. The truth is, police are suppose to be a friend to the citizens, not watchdog bullies. I promise to continue attacking and exposing this corrupt system all the way to Congress!!! We might even do a few shows called CongressmanBusters! LOL!
